Those who’ve been to (or in my case live in) Hillsborough know that the fastest growing group in town are vultures. Personally, I love them. I always assumed they came to Hillsborough because the average age is like 67 and we have three funeral homes in downtown… but apparently it may be slightly swayed by a local couple who have helped nurse some back to help and may have had a little trouble stopping. Anyway, my tax dollars are now going to taking that animal loving couple to court. It’s a little much. Yes, they should follow the law, and not feed the animals. And if they get caught they should be fined. It feels like complaining about your neighbor who’s always speeding and the town just takes your word for it and sues them… with our insanely high property tax dollars. Maybe the money could instead go to a walk / don’t walk sign for the corner of Churton & Tryon. We’ve got one for North/South, let’s go crazy and let people know if it’s safe to walk East or West too! Oh the things we could do with our neighbor fight / bird fright tax money!
